Ray Sturtivant
I have just heard that aviation historian died in hospital yesterday after a short illness. He will be sorely missed in the aviation historian fraternity and did much fine work.

Re: Ray Sturtivant
Another one gone. Ray was always willing to help and he will be a very hard act to follow

Re: Ray Sturtivant
That is very sad news. There are very few published works that are 100% perfect but I often wonder where we would all be without the foundations for our research that have been laid by Ray and Jim Halley. It does not seem long ago that I was talking to him at TNA I knew he had not been in the best of health but was not aware how serious it might have been.

Re: Ray Sturtivant
Very saddened to hear about Ray's passing - he was always so helpful and generous. I always thought of him as "Mr. Fleet Air Arm".
Condolences to his family RIP Brian |
