Bf109B, D and E Early Werk Numbers

Hi,

Can anyone add to the fact that we never hear of the early werk numbers of the bf109's, particulary B, D and E's. Is it that the B's and D's became E's or maybe even F's???

It seems we only see far later numbers, 1000, 2000, 3000 series and later.

Here is an interesting link stating an early werk number of 779 https://www.flickr.com/photos/29893587@N04/14341304477

Could there even be some as early as 100, 200, 300 etc series etc that are forgotten about?

What are your thoughts?

Kindest Regards

Erla Werknummern started with 272 and may have extended to just under 800 with exception of 75?-760 which was used for Protypes by Mtt.
Fieseler 109Bs are reported in the 3000-3089 range
