Regarding Post #1421 lower, this is one of several destroyed Bf 109s abandoned at Bad Wörishofen, Germany.

Further to those Bf 109's, I./JG 101 was stationed by war's end at Bad Wörishofen. Fine photos of their machines from the Karl Engelmaier collection are published in Jerry Crandall's Fw 190 Dora opus, Vol. 2, p. 39 and 45.
