Me 262 wn 111755
Hi,
during last saturday "raid" on my book-shop, I have found a Walk Around series about Me 262 written by Stapfer, Squadron Signal edition 2005; On page 78 there is a pic of me 262 described as wn 111775 near the reichsautobhan from Ulm to Augsburg; wn is not clear and my eyes can se only x1x7(3or5)5. In Dan O Connell' s book Me 262 the production log 1941-1945 there is the pic of wn 111755 found in a forest at Horgau delivered to JV 44, that looks very similar, and wn 111775 is not in the list. Also in the large pic of the wn 111755 tail on page 20 in Stormbird colors Me 262 by B. Green and B. Evans Eagle files n°5 Eagle edition 2002 we can see the same slightly misaligned black and white hackenkreuz (as reported in the caption). It's only a typo error ? or the plane is another me 262 ? Thanks and happy week-end Francesco Maria Lentini |
