Arado Ar 234 colour picture

Hi there,

I just found this unknown to me colour shot of Arado 234 AIR MIN 25, taken in 1945 (at Grove?).

Re: Arado Ar 234 colour picture

After having a bit more time to delve with this plane, I am unsure about which AIR MIN number (25 or 26?) is visible as the image is not that sharp. According to informations posted by Peter and Ju55dk over at LEMB, both were Arados 234 B:

AIR MIN 25 was Arado 234 B W.Nr 140'608, T1+GL, Stab FAGr. 1
AIR MIN 26 was Arado 234 B W.Nr 140'476, 8H+DH, 1(F)/33

They were among the six machines seized by British troops at Grove airfield in May 1945.
The canvassed Ju 88 G showing in the background is also of interest- This less then sharp colour shot might be a still from a colour movie. Someday, it might just turn up over at Youtube... or has it already?

Thanks to Peter and ju55dk for their informations!
Cheers
Marc

Re: Arado Ar 234 colour picture

Hi Marc,

That colour image is of Air Min 26. A colour print from the original slide shows that the last digit is clearly a '6'.

Cheers,

David
