Alwin Boerst Ju87G-1 codes known?
Boerst was shot down and killed on 30/3/44 in a Ju87G-1. At the time he was GrK I./SG2, but that Gruppe did not have any G's at that time. According to Holm's website, 10.(Pz)/SG2 lost 4 G-1's in March 1944, and no other part of the Geschwader lost any to enemy fire that month.
I suspect it likely Boerst was flying one of 10. Staffel a/c when he was shot down. Can someone tell me what markings it carried? I would guess the unit markings as T6+..U, but the individual a/c code would also be nice to know. Thanks Peter
