Re: Photos 9-21 +
Hello Ed,
Thanks for all Flugbuch: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Orig-Flugbuch.../161429211902? Pity I don't have the name ... seems it's JGr.Sud week. On photo 6 (from the left in the band when enlarging) This accident on 28/09/(1943) Bf109F, Kennung 10, from Orange to Avignon-west I have this 28/09/1943, JGr.Sud, Bf109F-4 WNr.6810, Pilot, Staffel, Kennung unknown, Fl.Pl. Avignon - 10%. Notlandung infolge Motorstörung Source: (Akte RL 2 III/1193, Seite 5, # 78) (AERO) Luftflotte 3. I think. Good? If someone has the name .. Welcome! Good to note, too: All flights made in Furth - JG104 - with three digits codes 2xx Regards, Franck. |

Re: Photos 9-21 +
... some little speculation; Can help a little bit.
Two Bf109Gs in same page. Two Bf109G-4, 10870 < and 16186, Weisse 30, both 1./JGr.Sud. If so, I have my missing Staffel. I said just little speculation. |

Re: Photos 9-21 +
Without any speculations: the pilot of the logbook is Alfred Thienert, later in 3./JG 1.

Re: Photos 9-21 +
Hello Folks!
These photos seem all to be from the same film roll: Fw 190 http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=161427233406 http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=161427231153 http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=161427230264 http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=161427225667 Ju 87G http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=161428338760 I think the Fw 190 number 9 in three of the photos is from SG4 and the phoots taken Summer 1944 in Baltic area (not Russia, for heavens sake!). IF the Ju 87G photo indeed is from the same film roll, then it most likely is one of the three which arrived to the Baltic area July 1944 with the III/SG 2 (see: http://www.ww2.dk/oob/bestand/schlacht/biiisg2.html ). Rudel writes about this period in his book. If someone knows of more photos or has additional information I surely would like to hear (read). Cheers, Kari |
