Basically same >>4 and No.2 a/c depicted multiple times from different angles, but with different years.

Re: Bf109 in North Africa-In Memoriam Joe Willis.
Hello Chris,
Concerning Dreifachwinkel Weisse 4? I think I do follow the clever demonstration made by Goran times ago; So let's go to Stab./JG77! But I have to say that I have no pictures at all concerning that unit. I Have others, from JG77, yet to be published, but not concerning the Stab. We must admit, too, that different dates and places given by Joe Willis Father are confusing. So, for the moment, until further notice.... Stab./JG77! What about that good-time-to-make-money Chris? Still rolling? I think I will be able to post my two-bladed engine pictures, here, in two months! Just for fun. @Tiago, You're right and it's still confusing. We can think J.A. Willis has been there two or three times during their go and back mouvements. And he did take note of dates waiting them to be developed later? Note: Black 2 is a Bf109F-4(?)/B if you din't get it. Yellow 8 is a F too. Have you seen these planes before? Cheers, Franck. |

Re: Bf109 in North Africa-In Memoriam Joe Willis.
Hi Franck
Stab./JG77 it is then! I just cannot believe that this is Rodel's machine: first up, it isn't a II Gruppe JG27 plane (no II Gruppe bar or customary insignia), secondly it's a Bf109F so it's too early to be his Geschwader Kommodore's machine and lastly the dating of the picture confirms that it's not Sicily and therfore again not his Kommodore aircraft. Still rolling? Nope, UK property market's falling again after a brief rise, lean times ahead.......... How's Africa or have you moved on??? Cheers Chris |
