Ii./jg 77 - 14.01.1945
Hi,
On this day II./JG 77 lost 10 pilots during operations over the Belgian-Holland border. According to PRIEN's book the 'staffel' for 5 of them is not known. Searching the alfabatical list of names in part 3 and 4 I found two pilots with an other entry : Uffz. Heinz KRAUSE :was wounded in 1943 as a member of 4./JG 77. So if he stayed with this unit he could become a member of 7./JG 77 when 4./JG 77 was renamed in august '44. Uffz. Werner GÖLKEL : was wounded in september 1944 as a member of 5./JG 77. If he returned to his old 'staffel' and since 5./JG 77 wasn't renamed he could be a member on this day (14/1/45) too? Does someone have more information about the 'staffel' whereabouts of : Fw. Karl Kellmann Kia in the area of St.Toenis; Uffz. Heinz GOKE Mia; Uffz. Heinz ZINKE KIA south of FORTS, Germany; Mary X-mass and a Happy New Year, Dirk (from a foggy Belgium) |
