Loss He-111 Hildesheim Airfield May 44

Hello,

looking for all Informations regarding an Loss near Klein Förste, close to the Hildesheim Airfield on 14. May 1944. Due to Eyewitness: Typ of Aircraft; He-111, all Crewmember died in this accident.
Every help is welcome ....

No cause given, crew not named

He 111 H-16 WNr. 8544 CK+UD Luftbildstaffel 1 14-May-44 Crashed due to pilot error. Loss of control due to low speed.

Obltn. Albert heidrich B
Ofw. Fritz Nowottny Bf
Ofw. Willy Widulla Bm
Uffz. Oswald Schuh Bs
All killed

Hi,

Thank you very much indeed for your help and the containing Informations !!!

This is exactly what the Eyewitness told me .... 4 or 5 Crewmember were kiled in that Loss. Crashsite was after a very short time covered by German Air Force Member from the Field nearby. Burial ceremony were taken at the "Zentralfriedhof" at Hildesheim.

Schnepf is buried in the war cemetery at Offenburg, Nowotny is buried at Freiberg, Heidrich is buried at Hildesheim Nordfriedhof - Block 7, Row DLI, Grave 171, Schuh is interred at Köln-Weiden, Widulla's body was apparently not recovered.
