Airspeed Oxford L4600 Crashed 9th May 1939

Seeking any information concerning the loss of Airspeed Oxford II, L4600, of 2 FTS on the 9th May 1939. Crash location, Sissinghurst Castle Farm, Kent.

Many thanks

Re: Airspeed Oxford L4600 Crashed 9th May 1939

In the Oxford File by Air Britain it says L4600 lost power and crashed in a forced landing at night near Brize Norton on 9.5.1939!

Brize Norton was the home of 2 TFS at the time, so who is correct?

What do you have that connects the crash to Sissinghurst Castle Farm?
