Always good to see a book on Park. For such an important air leader, he's definitely been underdone.

Mind you, it will have to be a very good book. The benchmark is Vincent Orange's 'Park'.

'...Shamefully Dowding and Park were dismissed from their commands in the aftermath of victory due to internal RAF politics...'

Oh, oh! Falling into the decades-old trap of not understanding or accepting that the retirement of one was deferred on more than one occasion in 1939 & 1940, and the natural movement after a certain period of time (2-3 years) of those in 'Management' in Government service is something that has always happened, and continues to be the case up to present.

Myths, eh. What WOULD we do without them...?

Referring to no publisher in particular, but mystery and intrigue sells more books. Myths to be debunked? Of course. A straight-on biography? Dull. One must avoid dull. Find ways to get the public talking about the book, and so on.
