Ju 52 in desert

Hi everybody,
Can anyone please identify an ambulance Ju 52 (Sanitätsflugzeug) wrecked in the desert, possibly at Martuba during 1942.
Werke Number 311 on tail. Factory letters 'SE' left of red cross in white coloured circle including white band around fuselage. No other details known.

Thanks,
Doug

WNr.0311 was SE+GC, manufactured in July 1935. I'm afraid I do not have details regarding its loss.

Gerhard, the photo came from a private source and I am captioning it to be included in a future publication on the desert airwar.

Re: Ju 52 in desert

Re Ju 52 W.Nr.´s made in 1935 - AFAIK this was just number 311 (not 0311) and second last in batch of first 12 assembled by ATG Leipzig, Ju 52/3m g3e (Bomber) reg D-AHYA, first flown 26.07.35 by Rolf Baltabol. - Ed
