Seeking photos of Oblt Roloff von Aspern & his a/c; he was StaKap of 5./JG54 when SD 17.11.40

Hello,

For a possible EoE Project Color Profile, I'm seeking information and photos of Oblt. Roloff von Aspern, who was Sta Kap of 5./JG54 from 02.08.40 until he was shot down and MIA on a mission over England in Bf109E-4 B1+, WNr1627. At the time of his death he had 18 victories to his credit.

I know of no photos that show either him or his a/c at any time in his career. Are any known to exist, particularly from his time as Sta Kap of 5 Staffel?

Who can help?

Regards,

Larry Hickey

Dear Larry,

Roloff von Aspern was my husband's great-uncle, and we have a few photos of him. I will try to post one for you, but I am a techno-moron so be patient!

Yours,
Caron Cadle (CaronC)

Well, that seems to have been a bust. If you want me to e-mail you a photo of Roloff, send me an e-mail at ccadle57@gmail.com

Caron,

Thanx for following up this two-year old post. I've replied directly to you at your email address.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

If anyone else has photos relating to von Aspern, his aircraft or career, I would appreciate hearing from you.

Regards,

Larry
