Unknown plane at the airfield of Larissa

Hi,
A German soldier with an destroyed allied plane at the airfield of Larissa, in the rear some transporters Ju 52.
It seems to me like a Potez 63, i am not sure, who can recognize it and knows about it? Was it a plane of Vichy or what?

thank you
Byron

Re: Unknown plane at the airfield of Larissa

Hi Byron - The photo was probably taken from an album from the balkans area but there appears to be a mix of ex French a/c also. There is a probable ex-French DB-7 wreck also listed as Larissa. The markings and camouflage look ex-French for the Potez 630 series (not certain of the exact type?)

Re: Unknown plane at the airfield of Larissa

Hi Tom,
thank you, i agree with Potez 630, seems to be one.
May be some body else knows more about the presence of a French a/c, April 1941 in Greece

But this plane didn't wear Vichy markings used on the Syrian front. More probably from 1940 in France ?

Re: Unknown plane at the airfield of Larissa

Hi all - With my emphasis on ex-French I did mean that the location would be more akin to France than Larissa. If you notice how flat the terrain is (although there are flat areas in Greece also). The seller also has a D.520 which the markings and location are certainly France. But the DB-7 photo is more likely to be in France than the Balkans
