I am looking for fist air victory Horst Ademeit from I./JG 54.

He claimed his first victory on 18 September 1940 shortly afterwards he was shot down over the Channel. He bailed out and was rescued unharmed.
This air victory is in Prien book JDL 4/II not. ??

Horst Ademeit 18/09/1940

Hello Markus

Prien lists his first victory claim on 23 June 1941 as a SB-2 at 10:13 over Pl.Qu. 2525. However, he was shot down on 18 September 1940 as follows:

Feldwebel Horst Ademeit of 1./JG 54 crashed in sea in Bf 109 E-1 (W.Nr. 6220) following aerial combat, 100%

I would go with the Prien information as these are the most recent results of a quite distinguished team of researchers.

Horrido!

Leo

Hi

The victory was in the papers from Alois Riebl from the Stab I/JG 54. The victory was never confirmed, no other member from the 1.Staffel saw Ademeits victory.

Greetings Christian

Re: Horst Ademeit 18/09/1940

Thank you very much for this information. I think also that it was unconfirmed claim.

Can you anybody find in what action was Ademeit shot down?

18/09/1940
9:00-10:50 S., II.,III./JG 54 100% in IAC
12:10-13:50 S./JG 54 100% in IAC
16:20-17:20 I.,III./JG 54 100% in IAC

I found only the time of the action of I./JG 54 in third setting.
