Re: Photos 4-28

Hi Pierre,

It is a Blenheim of the 82 Sqn. I believe a loss in 1940 time. I am out of my home and cannot check it more but the s/n could be in my database there.

Regards,
Michal

You're right, it's a Blenheim Mk IV (another pic is available in the seller's site, depicting the nose plane.

Re: Photos 4-28

Do I see wrong or am I right? I see a tri - color camo on this Fi 156 Storch. Does other evidence exist to confirm this?

(thanks Ed, You made my day)

Re: Photos 4-28

Another one. A beautifull pic of a Wespengeschwader Bf 110, but it's underside: also camouflaged with a scribble patern???

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=170214170554

(or is it the picture quality which shows up)

Thanks again Ed!

This must be one of the most sold Bf 109 E photos at eBay over the last 12 months!

Re: Photos 4-28

Hello,
I tried to identify this emblem but have had no success so far despite checking up in several of the books I have at hand here.
http://cgi.ebay.de/Foto-Norwegen-Flu...QQcmdZViewItem
The Bf 110 in the background displays the code 2N+?? why I assume it is
from ZG 1 why also the a/c closed to the photographer can be of the same unit.

Allegedly taken in Norway???

It looks as a bird on top, perhaps holding something beneath why I thought it might be a version of the "Eagle and lion" emblem of ZG 1. Anyone who knows more about this emblem?

Philippe, regarding the "Scribble" on the other Bf 110 photo, I believe it is because of bad processing when developing the film.

Best regards,
Goran

Re: Photos 4-28

Wespen Bf 110 and Storch.

It is hard to be sure, but it looks as if it is a "squiggle" pattern on the aircraft. Perhaps black. Oddly, if it was a negative defect or print defect, one might see it on the sky area. While not a good quality image, it does not appear that the effect extends beyond the airframe.

As for the storch, yest it is a multi color random application. The photo was taken South East of Leningrad / St. Petersberg.

Goran,
Spot on. It is the short-lived emblem of 1./ZG 1 of the British Lion in the jaws of the German Eagle. White spinner tip shows it is 1./Staffel, which preceded the white/blue/white which 1./ZG 1 later used towards the end of the Western Campaign, and was carried over into 1./Erpr. Gr. 210.
