Re: Photos 4-28
Could the Blochs been operating in an area where the Regia Aeronautica might have been? I believe the RA applied white fuselage bands to French aircraft in the RA for quick ID.

Here's the 1./ZG 1 emblem seen on a Bf 110 C of that Staffel in the Spring of 1940:

Re: Photos 4-28
Daniel,
I do believe that your photo of 'Dita 13' is that of Bf110E-2 W.Nr4502 M8+ZE that was transferred to 6.(Z)/JG5 and lost on the 11th March 1942. When recovered I do remember a red circle on the nose and thought it might have been connected to the 'Ladybird staffel' emblem. We now have a picture of M8+ZE in flight with 6.(Z)/JG5 and the remains f the circle still seems to be visible. A lot of other items in the photo match as well. Are these your photos? regards, Mark |

Re: Photos 4-28
To the person(s) responsible for reposting stuff that died in some cases over 15 years ago. Stop this please! Is this what this web site has turned into? a bunch of whispers and rumors from people in some cases now dead form recycled posts from years ago. Is there so little new material you try to revive the dead by replaying the voices over and over instead of admitting the jig is up? How Much of new posts are old posts recycled? 60%?
Right! |

Re: Photos 4-28
Hello Mark,
The prints I have are 'new', they were made either from the original negative or the original prints. I bought them about 20 years ago at a local flea market from someone who sold also several original prints. IIRC he told me that he was one of the ground crew members in the photos, but I don't remember his name. Kind regards, Daniel |
