Henri de Molenes from No 91 Squadron
Hello
Would anyone know the Spitfire serial used by SLT Henri de Molenes on the day of his death on August 27, 1942? ORB from No 91 indicates only it was coded "G". thank you in advance best regards Franck |

Re: Henri de Molenes from No 91 Squadron
Hello Chris
Thanks for replying. I try a search on http://www.airhistory.org.uk/spitfire/sources.html with BL320 and it gives the following : BL320 Vb CBAF M45 9MU 9-11-41 122S 15-11-41 FACB 30-1-42 Westland 91S 1-8-42 Missing from ASR search presumed ditched 27-8-42 FH96.50 According to the sentence above, it could be the one I am looking for because Sub-Ltt de Molenes was picked-up from the sea the same day after he ditched his Spitfire DL-G Best regards Franck |
