Jumo 211Da engine

The Rumanian Heinkel He 111H-3s were equipped with Jumo 211Da in-line engines.

I am wondering what does the 'a' suffix mean in the engine type? Could it be 'Ausland', i.e. for export?

Yes, at least that is what it means on the DB 601Aa.
