A seat: on which aircraft was it fitted ?
hi guys,
I saw a beautiful WWII metallic seat, clearly from a Luftwaffe aircraft, the plate fitted on it states that it was made by "Schmittner Verstellsitz" and the part number ("Baumuster") is 5061A2 can someone tell me on which type of aircraft it was fitted ? Thanks a lot, cheers GC |

Hi Mike
I found a Russian website on which there is exactly the same seat, can you have a look and let me know if you can identify it ? https://reibert.info/threads/krislo-vid-litaka.482755/ Best GC |

It is a common seat. This type was used I believe on the Ju88 (radio op)...and other larger types. Usually navigator/radio op type seat (not pilot).
