I'm looking for pictures of him and his plane, as well as any details about his mission. Thanks for any help. - Kurtl

Re: BF 109G6 Werk Nr. 449 687

Hello,

In Willi Reschke's JG301/302 book is a brief description of the loss of Uffz. Günter Richter.
His group (I./302) took-off from Götzendorf with 26 Bf109s, around 09:26. Over Tulln they joined the II./JG27, which would partly be their top cover for th attack. Their mission was to attack around 400 B-24 and 200 P-51 and P-38 which were on their way to bomb Linz and the Hermann-Göring Werke.
Richter flew the yellow 7.

regards,
Tomislav

@ Tomislav: Thanks for that info! Is it written what bomber and fighter groups took part on that mission? Any information about their and german losses? I'm looking for the german version of Willi Reschke's book about JG301/302. Seems hard to get.

Is there a picture of Uffz. Günter Richter's yellow 7? Would like to see a picture or a profile of that plane. Someone an idea where I could find such? Thanks in advance!
