Putting History right?
Or, at least, putting down the facts. This is a bit like grave robbing, but no harm?
There has been much if-ing & but-ing of late over a/c designations for 151 Wing in Russia. http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showthread.php?t=7289 is the start point. I know I've commented on it before, but not in the same context. Here it is my current comment - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...51aicrraft.jpg . 1. Strange that Anson (81 Sqn) should fly off a 134 Sqn aircraft - GA25. This a/c is elsewhere connected with Furneaux (134 Sqn)? 2. Strange that there should be a GA25 & a GO25? 3. I flew GO25 & then settled into GO31. So far as I know, my number (31) was the only one over-painted on an old number. Which, I suspect/suggest, was 25? The over-painting is very obvious. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...2/go311604.jpg 4. I never flew Z5122. Hope that this may be of use to someone. = Tim Last edited by timothy; 1st November 2009 at 11:11. Reason: add |
