Uffz Günter Reinhard 1./JG 54
Hello!
Here is one JG 54 loss which took place in Finland: "1942-07-30 Bf 109F-4 8630 1./JG 54 Valeamatka Flugzeugführer Uffz Reinhard, Günter verletztNotlandung. Bruch 80 %." Valeamatka IIRC was name sometimes used for Valkjärvi. I cannot at the moment find any verficiation, though. Petäjärvi is right next to Valkjärvi and was the base for the detachment Phillip. My question is about the pilot Uffz Günter Reinhard. Is this the same as Fw. Hans-Günther Reinhard? He was Phillip's wingman. Or are they two different persons? I cannot find any claims with name Günter Reinhard. Does anyone have any additional info about him? The accident above may have ended his career. Thanking in advance, Kari |
