"Ace" of the 7(F)/LG2 ?

Bonjour

On a picture of the "Abschussubersicht der 7(F)/LG2,we can see that:

Hermann Kroll is credited with 17 vict( or 18 ),outstanding for a "Aufklarer"
Joseph Peteani with 6 or 7 ? vict.
Hans (or Johann ? what is his first name ) Pfahl with 4 vict.

Someone can confirm these ?

Hello!

Kroll claimed two R-5 on 11th March 1942 as victories #17 and #18 according to the war diary of Pz.A.O.K. 1 (NARA T315 R22 19194/13).

Of course Kroll was shot down 25-26 Apr 44 over UK as St Kap of 1/121 but not much more to add than that

Re: "Ace" of the 7(F)/LG2 ?

Thank you for your answers:it seems difficult to confirm the "Abschusse" of Aufklarer
for Kroll,me I have:with the I.(F)/122 instead of 1/121 when he was shot down with his Me.410,seems by the Mosquito Mk.XVII (85°Sqd) of Branse Burbridge ( his fith victory )

1.(F)/121 is the correct unit, despite what was written in some British reports on Meyer, Kroll's Bordfunker. In the SRA reports (recorded conversations between prisoners) Meyer's unit was typed as 1.(F)/122 but corrected by hand to 1.(F)/121.

Re: "Ace" of the 7(F)/LG2 ?

Nick's comment has made me check again. NVM is for 1.(F)/121 supported by the K report . Subordinate to Aufkl 123 and the only mention of Aufkl 122 in the K report is that they had Ju 188s and 3 or 4 Staffel was based at Soesterberg. 1 & 2 Staffel/121 were at Buc and 3 Staffel Bernay. Not a typo as a result of fat fingers then but there is an error in The Last Blitz it would appear!

Re: "Ace" of the 7(F)/LG2 ?

Both yes and no

The last Blitz also states 1.(F)/121 in their loss list, while their general text says 1.(F)/122, probably because they quote from the attached 'K' report.

Thanks for correcting the discrepancy

Cheers
Stig
