Key brothers (?) B-17 pilots Java 1942
Hi guys
I note that Lts A.E. Key and F.M. Key were both B-17 pilots with the 19th Bomb Group in Java in early 1942. Were they brothers/cousins? Any information appreciated, please. Cheers Brian |

Re: Key brothers (?) B-17 pilots Java 1942
Brian,
During he same four days, four more B-17s and one LB-30 arrived in Java. On January 30 , the LB-30 arrived via the Pacific air route, while the brother of Capt. Fred (M.) Key, Algene E. Key (30th BS/19th BS [sic]), B-17E (41-2458, Yankee Diddl'er - Wouldn't It Root Ya) and 1st Lt Kenneth D. Casper (9th BS/7th BG), B-17E (41-2470), arrived from Africa. The next day, Lt Rouse, B-17E (41-2453) and 2nd. Lt. Paul M. Lindsey (9th BS), B-17E (41-2483), came in from Africa. See: Fortress Against The Sun The B-17 Flying Fortress in the Pacific.
