Can you explain the chevron with a circle marking on the tail? It is new to me.

On 109s, the chevron-circle was the maring of the Technical Officer, placed forward of the fuselage cross.

Yes, but that wasn't my question.
I think It should be better to ask if this KG53 He 111 ( I don't think it is a JU 88) for which the WNr. is perfectly readable was, or wasn't, a Stab machine; if yes, of course it was TO machine.

The point I was making, Franck, was that what is known as the TO's marking on 109s might also be equally applicable to that He 111. Do you not see the connection?
