JU88 Encounter
Hoping someone can help or point me in the right direction on this rather long shot.
On October 16th 1940, a No.218 Squadron Bristol Blenhiem flown by F/Lt Shaw was tasked with carrying out a daylight weather recce to Terschelling. While on the return flight Shaw and crew chanced upon a JU88 50 miles off the coast of East Anglia, Shaw attacked the JU88 inflicting minor damage, the JU88 "Escaped" turning back over the North Sea. Can anyone tell me of any Luftwaffe activity on this date, and if possible any JU88 units involved. Kind reagrds Steve |

Re: JU88 Encounter
On this day Ju88 A-1 F6+LH of 1(F)/122 w.n. 5047 crashlanded at Vendeville with 60% damage due to enemy fire. This may be the one but I have no further information.
