Unknown part for identification

Ju 188 or Do 217 maybe. Can anyone help? Dimensions are readable from photos. Thanks in advance!

Re: Unknown part for identification

No standard aircraft would have had all steel ribs. Only items I know that had steel ribs and aluminum skin would have been high speed aircraft and weapons...such as the V-1 or Henschel rockets....Me262, Ar234, etc.

Re: Unknown part for identification

A flap was my first idea too, but then someone suggested it could be an air brake from Do 217. From pictures I ever saw it looks quite different, but in the same pit there was among others a round cover painted black and on reverse side marked 217.523-21 Ho3. I don't know.

Re: Unknown part for identification

part numbers marked with 217 are Do217...

The issue is where or not the pit was full of various scrap parts from different planes...or if it is from one specific wreck.
