Re: Avro Anson Crash 6 FTS - 30 Sep 1938
Hi, can anyone hep with any photos of these two crew members, or by chance, any of the crash site?
The incident which occurred on 30 September 1938. Avro Anson L7929, flown by Pilot Officer John Goodhart Mason, aged 24 years old, was the instructor. And Acting Pilot Officer Roderick Gordon James, aged 18 years old, was the student pilot. Their aircraft crashed 60 yards from Shipton-under-Wychwood railway station, Oxfordshire. One crew member was found inside the wreckage, the other was lying some distance away from the crash site. Thanks in advance. Danny
