TBM crash at sea, 12 January 1945

Hello, on this webpage:

http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/foru...hp/t83990.html

You can see a sequence of pictures showing a failed landing of a TBM-3 onboard the escort carrier Takanis Bay off California on 12 January 1945, ending in the water.

The solo pilot, a Lt Wright of VMTB-132, was rescued.

I would kile to know the full name of the pilot and the Bureau number of the aircraft.

Thanks in advance

Laurent

PS: by the way, I have seen that there is a CD on sale online, for 48-49 $, called "Takanis Bay WWII cruise". If someone has it, I am interested to know how much details one can find in it regarding this kind of accident.

Laurent,

A request to the NHC for a photocopy of the report might be worthwhile.
