Fw 190 V5k vs Fw 190 V5g & A-0 Pre-pre production bactch
Question Nº1: V5k / V5g:
One thing that has always been confusing me is the existence of Fw 190 V5g & V5k nomenclature. Some sources state that Fw 190 V5k (Kleine Fläche / small surface) and Fw 190 V5g (Große Fläche / large surface) are one and only Fw 190 V5 before and after it's accident and other sources say that basically first aircraft with "Große Fläche" is, in fact, WNr 0016 built in October 1940 (and made it's first flight in January 1941) and was used as "muster" for further production and it seems that according to these sources V5 crashed after only 2h of flights and was scrapped off after that. Question Nº2: A-0 batch: Is Fw 190 A-0 Pre-production series starting from WNo 0005 or 0008? And was the last machine 0033, 0034 or 0035? Thank you Milos |

Interesting to notice is that even the sources stating that V5k & V5g are not same aircraft with different wings - show that engine's WNr was same: BMW C-0 WNr. 80130.
