Another Pilot has passed away RIP
Quentin C. Aanenson—USAAF Fighter pilot who flew 75 combat missions and was featured in the Ken Burns documentary, The War—died on 28 December in Maryland at the age of 87.
He wasn't an Ace as far as I could tell but he had an interesting two part PBS documentary (sadly I have forgotten the name of THAT documentary) some years back talking about his training to be a pilot & his experiences as a P47 pilot with the 9th AF--along with his letters to his Wife back home; very personal stuff; nickm |
