P-38 Claims over Normandy on 25 June 1944

Hello

Does anyone have a list of the USAAF P-38 twin-engined fighter claims recorded on 25 June 1944? I am searching in particular for any possible claims made in the area northeast of Lisieux where Feldwebel Hans Engelbrecht (8 victories) of 10./JG 2 was shot down and killed, apparently in aerial combat with this type of fighter. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Horrido!

Leo

P-38 Claims over Normandy on 25 June 1944

Hello Kent

Many thanks for your very helpful response to my question! I noticed that JG 2 apparently made 12 (!) claims for P-38 twin-engined fighters in the same general area and time period.

Horrido!

P-38 Claims over Normandy on 25 June 1944

Hello Kent

Many thanks for those additional details. I know that JG 2 claimed 14 victories in total, the other two being Mustang fighters in the Rouen area, while suffering 11 losses that day.

Horrido!
