Luftwaffe FW190 losses Normandy 15 June 1944
On this date according to 2nd TAF the Jagdwaffe lost 13 Fw190s in aerial combat. Two were from JG2 (no details) and two FW190A-8 from 6 and 7./JG26. Can anyone identify the other nine? (and tell me more about the JG2 losses).

JGr. 200's actions that day took place 600–700 km away from 2nd TAF's and no Fw 190 were involved. See here for details: http://www.ghostbombers.com/JG200/june_1.html

Re: Luftwaffe FW190 losses Normandy 15 June 1944
Many thanks chaps. I was looking for a link between LW losses and a combat by 132 Wing at 0645 GMT near Evreux. The RAF claims were for 8 Fw190 destroyed and over a dozen damaged. The JG2 losses seem a good fit but I had thought there may be other losses that occurred on or around that time.
best regards Keith |
