Luftwaffe officer of JG 51 to be identified
Would anyone attempt to identify this Luftwaffe officer (I believe a Hauptmann) from JG 51, depicted in Russia, in late February 1944? Thanks.

Re: Luftwaffe officer of JG 51 to be identified
The award recipient seemed to have been a Hungarian pilot, and they fought on the southern sector of the eastern front, while JG 51 was deployed on the central sector. Is there any indication on the photo, or writing on the back side of the photo, which necessarily suggest that the Luftwaffe officer belonged to JG 51?

Yes, indeed, the officer is a Hungarian one, namely Lt. László Molnár. A similar photo taken at the same scene was published on the cover of a Hungarian periodical, where it was noted that the Luftwaffe officer was the commander of the JG 'Mölders'.
