Kassel-Eschwege - April 19, 1944

Hello/Bonjour,

I am looking for Jagdgeschwader(n) involved in a fight against bombers of 91st Bomb Group (or 1st BD bombers) during their way to Kassel-Eschwege on April 19, 1944. (German fighters were they damaged or destroyed during that fight?)

All the best,
Frederic

Hello Frans A.

Thank you for the answer, I have now an overview of the planes lost that day and I am able to look for deeper.

All the best,
Frederic

Re: Kassel-Eschwege - April 19, 1944

Hello/Bonjour,

I am currently translating the diary of a Ball Turret gunner belonging to the 91st BG and he wrote that he was credited that day of one Me-109 damaged (...with another member of its crew). Just out of curiosity, I am looking for the German "Gruppen" involved. Thanks to you for having pointed out the American FGs which were engaged there that day.

All the best,
Frederic
