Do17 II/KG2 4 July 1940

Hi guys

On 4 July 1940, two Do17s of II/KG2 returned each with two wounded crewmen on board. One was flown by Obfw Hans Wolff of 6 Staffel with Oblt Dorwaldt and Uffz Krehl both wounded; any info on the other aircraft and its casualties?

Cheers
Brian

Many thanks Chris

I do not have a copy of Balke's history of KG2.

Are you able to provide first names for Dorwaldt and Krehl both wounded members of Wolff's crew?

Also, is there any mention of the KG2 Dornier that carried out a raid on RAF Honington on 16 September 1940? Whether I or II Gruppe? Staffel? Crew?

Cheers
Brian

FWIW - although it sounds like you'd already found it - I've just translated Wolff's account and posted it on my blog. Ulf very kindly gave me permission to 'exploit' his two volume history of KG 2 on my site ( naturally with the proviso that I didn't over do it ! )
