There was a problem with the town of his birth. Whenever I tried to choose Kolzig (or its current Polish name, Kolsko), the website would insert a name from the list. All I could choose was Nowa Sól area in Poland.

He wasn't born in Kolzig, his father was a postmaster there. Alfred was born in Kölmchen, Kreis Freystadt.

Thank you very much for your answer. However, I don't think that Kölmchen (now Chełmek) will be on the list at Find a Grave either. Unfortunately, it's impossible to type the name there, but you have to choose one from the list, so only bigger towns and cities are available.
