Luftwaffe Arctic airmen accounts

Hi guys

I'm seeking first-hand accounts of Luftwaffe attacks against the Arctic convoys during 1941-1942 (only) for a forthcoming project.

I am aware that the following two German-language books contain such accounts but (a) I do not have copies and (b) I do not read German!

"Uberlebenschance gleich Null" by Bodo Diemer

"Langstreckenflug" by Roderich Cescotti

Can anyone help me please?

Cheers
Brian

Have you checked Alexander Steenbeck's history of KG 26, "Die Spur des Löwen"?

Re: Luftwaffe Arctic airmen accounts

Hi guys

Wow! What a great collection of pictures. Many thanks Anders for the link.

No, Jim, I haven't a copy of the KG26 book - seems that it's not currently available and, anyway, I can't read German! Have you a copy?

Seems like I'll have to learn German (unlikely) or purchase good translation software. Any suggestions?

Cheers
Brian
