Recon. Ju 88 force landing near Prague mid March/April 1945
Hello,
I am looking for informations about a Ju88 crash landing near Prague in mid March/April 1945. The pilot was Fw(?) Ludwig Hölbe who suffered severe head injuries. Rest of the crew dead ("they were not belted"). Being at Prague-Ruzyne, Hölbe was "lent" by a Staffel to complete a crew without pilot for a reconnaissance mission. On return one engine failed and he had to force land. He could no more remember the name of his comrades, the unit and the exact date of the event. In "Luftwaffe over Czech Territory 1945" I read that FAG3 with Stab/FAG3, 2.(F)100, 4.(F)121, 1.(F) 122 and 4(F)Nacht was stationed at Prague-Ruzyne and Hradec Králové. Any hints? Best wishes, Karl |
