unidentified pilot within 1./JGr.Süd
Morning TOCHers
Am almost certain this is a Feldwebel "Nester" but have no details of such a pilot. Details are:- 29th April 1944 P-47 1208 hrs 1./JGr.Süd 5200-1000 metres altitude(dive) Can anybody please enlighten me on this one time claimer pilot. Keep Well Johannes |

Hi Russell
Many thanks, guess it must be. Originally I had it as "Wester", but Vester it is then. He was probably in training, though his age(born 14th August 1916) suggests perhaps an instructor himself. He then goes off to 6./JG 2 where he is shot shot on 20th June 1944, 25th June 1944, makes a claim on 8th November 1944, this is shot down himself on 17th December 1944 and fatally on 19th April 1945.
