Identity of Blenheim IV lost - Art.Rgt 157 - date unknown
Good night to all.
Is the identity (serial number and crew) and codes ??*U of this Blenheim Mark IV known? It was supposed to have been shot down by Art.Rgt 157, somewhere in France or Belgium in 1940. Date and place unknown or uninformed by the seller. A. Last edited by Adriano Baumgartner; 4th May 2021 at 14:29. |

Re: Identity of Blenheim IV lost - Art.Rgt 157 - date unknown
Adriano,
This is P4903 UX-U of 82 Squadron, lost on 17 May 1940. Other photos have appeared on EBay of this wreck. I have seen one photo in the Larry Hickey collection which shows 'P490.' and '.X-U'. 82 Squadron used only one other Blenheim in the 'P490.' range and that was P4904 UX-B also lost on 17 May 1940. Regards, Martin Gleeson. |

Martin Gleeson,
Thank you so much for the positive identification of this one...I hadn't a clue with only the last U of the code visible. A. |
