Tangmere 14/15th April 1943.

Does anyone have the Station ORB for this night. Would like to find out what Bomber Command aircraft diverted here on return from Stuttgart. Also hoping the Station Records Book may ID the code letter for a Wellington of 196 Squadron that crashed on take-off on the 15th. Any pointers very welcome.

Steve

Steve,

Can't help with the letter of the 196 Sqn Wellington but here is a little on the troubled existence of the the pilot, 1313694 Sgt (Pilot) Russel Verian ROSSER RAFVR, whilst with 466 RAAF Sqn.

I would be surprised if Station ORB went into that much detail
