Contact with author Ken Wakefield requested
I have Ken Wakefield's book "Somewhere in the West Country". There are a couple of photos which are of great interest for a book that I am writing, thus I would like to contact the author. Is there anyone who has contact information?

Re: Contact with author Ken Wakefield requested
I am afraid that Ken has disposed of all his material & is not in the best of health so contacting him would be pointless

Re: Contact with author Ken Wakefield requested
I am sorry to hear. I have enjoyed reading several of his books.
I assume it would not help to contact the publisher...? Nils |

Re: Contact with author Ken Wakefield requested
It wouldn't hurt. Depending on the contract, the publisher may have bought some or all rights to the content. I realize that may sound strange but I've been in the book publishing business for a while.

Re: Contact with author Ken Wakefield requested
If it's the same Ken Wakefield, we're due to publish his new book: The Other Ninth Air Force: Ninth US Army Light Aircraft Operations in Europe 1944-45.
With very best wishes, Jay |

Re: Contact with author Ken Wakefield requested
I have just spoken to Ken. The book Jay talks about was finished a year ago and essentially is a compilation of his knowledege on the subject which he has gained over many years. As to his previous works, he has disposed of all and in his words contacting him 'would be pointless'. Health-wise, he and his wife 'take each day as it comes' and a shopping trip for them is a 'great adventure' as both are, if I am not wrong, in their 80s
