Help civilian register for 2 machines from Halle-Saale

Good morning to all members.

I tried to find, but got no joy, the fates of 2 machines that were photographed at Halle-Saale (probably from the Luftnachrichtenschule).

They are:

Dornier 23, register D-AJYH

Fw 56 Stösser, register D-IKIK or D-IKII
(the last letter is partially covered)

Any information regarding those 2 machines: fate and service in Luftwaffe, most welcomed

Adriano

Hi Adriano

Are you sure with the ZKZ.
I have nothing for both planes.
For the Fw 56, I have found D - IMII and D - INII.

best wishes

Jo,
Shall put the image here in low resolution. Give me more time to do so.

And, yes, image is very clear and pretty sure about the letters.

Hi Tony
What do you mean with 8/36?
Corrupt WNr or perhaps August 1936??

Cheers
Stig

Cheers Tony

Pity we can't tie it in with a Wnr.
There were one or two of them built, as you know

All the Best

Re: Help civilian register for 2 machines from Halle-Saale

Tony and Stig,

My gratitude for all the help in identifying those 2 machines....I now read about the Do 11C and found that there were some crashes, whilst in training.

Since the crew is of only 4 members and the photograph I do have do show 6 coffins, I am assuming that there must have been a crash between a Do 11 and a Fw 56 or other LW training machine (carrying 2 other Aviators).

I still had not have time to pass the photo or the aircraft images to low resolution but will surely do so in the next couple of days, in due time.

However, regarding the Fw 56 Stösser, do you know if there is a machine coded D-IKIK rather than D-IKII? There is one man in front of the last letter, but watching it, I assumed it looks like a "K" rather than a "I". Am not sure though....maybe putting here the photo or image we can have a more precise idea.

THANK YOU BOTH for the incredible knowledge about the pre-war LW. Much appreciated.

Adriano
