Dear Rudi, Michiel found some new views of Me 262 A-2a W.Nr. 111685 “9K+FH”, 1./KG 51. Found at war’s end at the Schattenflughafen Hofoldinger Forst near Munich; this machine was later towed to Brunnthal and scrapped.

Thanks Marc-Andre always nice to know more about some finds. I find towing a 262 for some distance a bit suspect but there you go.

You’re welcome Michiel ! As for the towing of the planes from their dispersals along the München-Salzburg Autobahn to Brunnthal, we had a superlative photo album sold a few years ago illustrating this process. Wish I had kept them...
