Re: First names 429 RCAF sqdn crew

If you contact, write a letter, to the Canadian national archvies they can confirm the full name and serial number(s) of the men listed above and I think give you their last unit.

Contact details are here:
http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/g...909.007-e.html

This is different to men who died or who are dead more than 20 years, their records are availbale to the public.

Re: First names 429 RCAF sqdn crew

Hello Alain,

Could you please complete your question: when/were/what happened with this crew members > if they became prisoners, someone who wants to help can search in POW related sources.
Did they all perish in a crash (if there was a crash at all), someone who wants to help can jump to the CWGC or other Roll of Honour lists.

Marcel

Re: First names 429 RCAF sqdn crew

Dear all,

since few years I am studying the crash of Halifax MZ453. Mr. Augusta confirmed that he landed with the parachute in Keerbergen and it might be possible that the plane crashed in Tremelo, the village where I live. Does somebody know how/where we possible may find the confirmation about the correct crashlocation ? The civil records of Tremelo do not contain any information about the crash but there are several eye-witnesses who visited the wreckage of an "olive coloured allied airplane" in my village. We also found a smal part of a kind of a tank but untill now, we do not have official confirmation about the identity of the plane that crashed at this location.

Many thanks in advance for your help

Steven
