Crashed Bf 109 on 10/11th March 1944?
Hi, I have received this request for help regarding the possible loss of a Bf 109 on the 10/11th March 1944, can anyone help?
Greetings! I am doing some research and am looking for a Me-109 that attacked an RAF Stirling the night of March 10/11 In SE France near Lake Geneva. The Stirling encountered a lot of damage but the rear gunner hit the Me-109 and saw a fire. I am looking for the base and plane and I’m wondering if the fighter landed safely and possibly name of pilot. Or was the pilot lost? Is it possible to help me with this? Kind regards and thanks for any help! Melvin |

There were no single seat nightfigters in France in spring 1944.
