Uffz.Heinz Grimm-4/NJG1

Hi,
Just joined this forum. My Mothers cousin was in the RAF during WW2, with 207 Squadron. According to the records that I have, they were probably shot down by Uffz.Heinz Grimm. Date of this was 08 Sep 1941, and it was an Avro Manchester mk1. Can anyone please confirm this, and what type of aircraft Heinz Grimm was flying. Thanks
Martin

Re: Uffz.Heinz Grimm-4/NJG1

Martin,
I do not think that it was Heinz Grimm. Go to Google: Uffz.Heinz Grimm and you will see that he shot down a Whitley on 41-09-07 35 km North of de Dutch Frisian Islands.
The Manchester came down on Ameland island. See SGLO database en you find all the details, however without de name of the german pilot.
I have a Lt. Heinz Grimm of Stab IV/NJG 1 shot down 43-10-09 and DOW 43-10-13
